Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon offers guests an opportunity to revive their relationship with nature while absorbing the picturesque and magnificent landscape.

This one-of-a-kind spa includes an outdoor lagoon filled up with geothermal warm water. The water s rich in minerals and silica and its blue and green color is known all over the world.

Other than all the natural hot springs in Iceland, the blue lagoon is completely man-made. Build right into a beautiful lava field, the lagoon gets all its hot water from the geothermal power plant, resulting in temperatures from 36-40°C.

Besides the lagoon, guests can visit a sauna with a great view over the lagoon, a steam bath with silica mud, a steam bath built into a lava cave, and a waterfall for a great massage.

During your visit, you can enjoy a drink at the pool bar which you can easily purchase with your locker key. In case you feel hungry after your swim, the café and restaurants offer a great selection of food and snacks.

The blue lagoon is not only good for relaxation, but it also has positive effects on your skin. We highly recommend taking a silica face to feel the positive side effects yourself.  A new addition to the Blue Lagoon is the newly built Retreat Spa, definitely worth the visit for those who prefer more privacy & more luxury!
